Scio Outside: Volunteer at West Scio Preserve

Let's take care of West Scio Preserve! We will be pulling Garlic Mustard, an invasive plant that out competes native vegetation, as well as Knotweed and Multiflora Rose. West Scio Preserve is a beautiful nature preserve with over 56 bird species and over 20 different tree species present. Let's work together to protect this diverse property.

You can read more about Garlic Mustard here.

Accessibility Note: We will be working on multiple plant invasive species populations, some of which are accessible through a walk in the woods, and most of which are right off the parking lot. Tasks include hand-pulling plants, bagging plants, and loading the truck with bagged plants.
