The Scio Township Utilities Department is responsible for maintaining and delivering a safe water supply as well as operating and maintaining a sewer collection system for Scio Township customers. Under the general direction of the Utilities Director, Brandon McNiel, the department provides the following services:

  • Utility billing and customer service
  • Meter reading, repairs and installation
  • Cleaning and maintenance of Township-owned sewer and water lines
  • Locating of Township-owned underground water and sewer lines
  • Turn off water service for scheduled and emergency situations
  • 24-hour standby emergency response.

Utilities Billing Information 

If you wish to see your own utility billing account information, you can look up that information on the BS&A website. 

Customer Service Office & Field Office

Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm for Utilities Billing and Customer Service. Both Customer Service and the Field Office are located inside Scio Township Hall at 827 N. Zeeb Rd., directly accessible from the west (back) entrance of the building. For water and sewer inquiries, Township customers should contact the Utilities Department office at 734-369-9350.

Annual Water Quality Report

Scio Township Utilities Department's Annual Water Quality Report is now available. These reports document the quality of the water during the previous year. The most recent report, published June 30, 2022, covers water quality in the Township in 2021.

Scio Township purchases its water from the City of Ann Arbor. Visit their website to learn more about your municipal water supply. 

If your residence or building has had the water shut off for an extended period due to lack of use of the structure, follow these instructions to re-start your water supply.
