The State of Michigan Department of Treasury publishes a Uniform Budget Manual for Local Units of Government to assist townships and other local units in preparing and administering a budget in conformance with legal requirements and best practices. Each year, Scio Township prepares and adopts a budget for all funds of the Township, and authorizes positions.
